Aili Hammersmith
Hi my name is Aili Hammersmith, owner of Wicked Tan! I got into bodybuilding after running 3 half marathons and needed a new challenge. I won my first figure show in 2011 at the Northern States Natural Classic in Elk River. I have competed 3 times since then, 1 show in figure and 2 shows in bikini. I had the opportunity to start my own tanning business in 2014, working closely with show promoters who supported me in my venture and have continued to support me as I have grown. Starting off with 4 shows as exclusive tanner, we have grown to become the exclusive tanning AND hair and makeup sponsors for 13 shows in MN, WI, NE, SD, and IL! I could not be more excited about this growth! I cannot thank the show promoters, athletes, my staff, friends and family enough for their continued support as well. The girls that work for me have all competed, so they know what’s important and understand exactly what people are going through. While the bulk of my business is centered around bodybuilding competitors, we also do tanning for weight loss challenges, weddings, proms, cheer teams, special events and everyday tanning. I live in Maple Grove with my 2 kids, 3 rescue dogs and 1 rescue guinea pig!. I love going to the gym, concerts, movies, binge watching Netflix, and spending time with family and friends! Jules Goodwin
Hi my name is Jules, I first became involved in the competition world while living in Arizona and Working for some of the top supplement companies in 2013. As I moved back to Minnesota I decided to take on the midwest competition world and turned to Aili and Wicked Tan for my show tan. We quickly became friends and my background in cosmetology made it an easy decision to join her team. While I’ve only ever competed in the NPC, During show seasons I work with Aili at many of the natural shows as well as expediting and Working backstage for many of the the NPC shows. This allows me the unique opportunity of seeing competitors from all federations on a repeat basis and building friendships with clients. I love offering advice and support to first time athletes from skin prep to makeup and show day tips, I love working with new competitors to ensure their show day goes smoothly! Rachel Williams
My name is Rachel Williams. I am 47 years old, a single mom, a special agent and currently a natural pro physique bodybuilder competitor. I have been involved in athletics since I was a young child and hope to share my love of staying fit with you. I currently compete in the world of Natural Figure & Physique Bodybuilding. Over the years, I have transitioned through a variety of sports and experienced varying levels of success in achieving my goals. I grew up competing as a competitive swimmer in United States Swimming. I swam in college and qualified as an All-American and transitioned into Master's Swimming as an adult. Soon, I grew weary of 'just' swimming and eventually transitioned into marathons and triathlons. I loved triathlons and thought I had found my niche. Unfortunately, I suffered multiple running injuries and was forced to retire from a sport I had grown to love. I needed a new goal, a new sport, a new challenge. I have always lifted weights as a component of my training regime and loved the strength it gives me. Little did I know, I would convert that training into a passion for a new level of fitness. At the age of 38, I took up bodybuilding and haven't looked back. Bodybuilding is unlike any other sport I have competed in. The biggest difference being it is a 'judged' sport. There is no finish line! I have had my share of successes and obstacles through out the years. It has not always been easy but the reward makes it worth the journey. Cassandra Magnussen
My name is Cassandra Magnussen. My friends call me Cass. I’ve competed in three different shows in two different divisions across 8 total classes always in NANBF. 2014 was my show when I competed at the Mr. Ms. Natural Minnesota in Bloomington, MN. This show I competed on Figure Tall. I placed 2nd in Beginner, 1st in Novice, and 5th in Open. My second show was in 2015 where I competed at the Northen States Natural Classic Clash of the Titians in Elk River, MN. At this show I competed in Figure and Women’s Physique. I placed 3rd in Open Figure, and 2nd in Open Women’s Physique. My third and final show was again at the Mr. Ms. Natural Minnesota in Bloomington, MN in 2006 where I competed in Figure and Women’s Physique. This time I placed first in Open Figure, and was one placing away from winning my Pro card in Figure. In Women’s Physique I placed 2nd in Novice and 2nd in Open, again, one placing away from winning my Pro card. My interest in Body Building started well before I ever competed in my first competition in 2014. I guess you could say I was always into fitness but it wasn’t always productive or healthy, I struggled with eating disorders my entire life. My interest in Body Building started when I felt I finally had control over it in 2006. It took me several more years to find the courage to put on a very sparkly suit and walk across the stage in four inch heals and be judged. I’m still an avid gym go-er who enjoys spending time with my Wicked Tan family both at and outside of shows. The rest of my free time is devoted to my husband of 10+ years, together we enjoy all the four legged creatures of the world, the shooting range, a good movie, and a considerable about of time binge watching our favorite shows on NetFlix.
